Reptile & Minibeast Encounters in Care Homes & Respite Care: Raising Spirits & Building Confidence

Socialising, Overcoming Fears & Providing Company

[Reptiles & Minibeasts in Care & Respite Settings - Meet The Beasts] Meet The Beasts Provides Hands-On Stimulating, Fun Encounters with Reptiles & Minibeasts to Residents in Care & Respite Settings, Helping Them to Face & Conquer Fears, Grow in Confidence & Have Fun.

Evidence suggests that interaction with animals improves quality of life & mental aptitude, particularly in the elderly.

Mental health research also suggests that snake handling helps to increase communication & engagement in those struggling with depression.

Many have only seen reptiles & minibeasts in books, on TV or behind glass in a zoo. Their unfamiliarity, tactile interaction & placid nature gives extra mental & physical stimulation. The results are increased confidence, self-esteem, motivation, interaction, self-confidence & personal awareness.
